Trip Registration for Le Salon, a slow travel writer’s retreat in Paris & Aix-en-Provence, France. Co-led by Kristina Mahr and Lauren Gibson.
Le Salon will start and end in Paris, France on Saturday afternoon, June 14 2025 and conclude on Saturday evening, June 21 2025.

COMPLETING YOUR REGISTRATION:
Registrations for Le Salon are not considered finalized until you complete your Trip Registration:
Accepted writers: complete your trip registration for Le Salon within 1 week (7 days) of acceptance. Failure to complete these steps within the 1 week window will result in relinquishment of your spot.
Waitlisted writers: complete your trip registration for Le Salon within 24 hours before we reach out to the next applicant on the wait list. Failure to complete these steps within the 24 hour window will result in relinquishment of your spot, and we will reach out to the next applicant on the wait list.
LE SALON REGISTRATION DEPOSIT & PRICING
Your Registration Deposit collected today at checkout is applied toward the total cost of your trip.
Le Salon -Standard Retreat Rate: USD $6,200 per person
Registration Deposit: USD $500 per person
Le Salon - Shared Room Retreat Rate: USD $4,600 per person
Registration Deposit: USD $500 per person
For writers sharing a room with another attendee, please list the name of the other accepted writer at checkout to ensure we book your accommodations together - thank you!
Le Salon - Experience-Only Rate (NO HOTEL): USD $2,900 per person**
Registration Deposit: USD $300 per person
**Travelers who choose the Experience-Only pricing option will be responsible for booking and managing their own accommodations for the duration of the retreat.
Important Advice from Lauren and Kristina: Travelers considering the Experience-Only pricing option are strongly advised to research hotel prices for central Paris (postal code 75006) and Centre-Ville, Aix-en-Provence for the month of June to understand their approximate additional lodging costs before committing to the Experience-Only pricing option. Due to the limited space available in our partner boutique hotels, we cannot accommodate changes to a Standard Retreat Rate after registration.
PAYMENT PLAN OPTIONS:
Deposit + 4 Monthly Payments (default): You will be invoiced for 4 (four) monthly payments. The final payment is due no later than May 15, 2025, which is 30 days prior to the start of the trip on June 14, 2025. Please view the payment schedule below.
Save 5% - Pay in Full: if you would like to pay the full balance of your retreat costs now, you may pay in full at checkout and save 5% on your selected rate.
LE SALON TRAVELER AGREEMENT:
When you add the Le Salon Trip Registration to your cart, you will be prompted to complete the Le Salon Traveler Agreement Form. Please review this traveler agreement carefully as you register for Le Salon. Your typed name in this form serves as your e-signature that you agree to these traveler terms as outlined in the agreement.
The written contents of the Le Salon Traveler Agreement will also be in the confirmation email you receive after completing the checkout process.
PLEASE READ: IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
Registrations for Le Salon are not considered finalized until you complete the checkout process.
You will receive an automated confirmation email from Charlotte to Paris to confirm your Le Salon Trip Registration.
This confirmation email will also include a copy written contents of the Le Salon Traveler Agreement.

INCLUDED IN LE SALON WRITER’S RETREAT:
- All Hotel Accommodations (8 nights, private hotel room in Paris and Aix-en-Provence).*
- Three Le Salon Group Writing Workshops, two 1:1 sessions with Kristina Mahr, and the opportunity (optional) to work with a critique group/partner.
- 25 pages of your manuscript or 10 poems, or some predetermined equivalent subset of your writing read and annotated by Kristina Mahr.
- Select Meals as listed in itinerary above.
- All activities as listed in the itinerary above: Paris and Provence walking tours, Seine sightseeing cruise, and the Provence Day Trip.
- Local transportation: taxi rides from the train station to your hotel on our train travel days (Days 4 and 7), TGV train tickets to and from Paris - Aix-en-Provence, Paris metro card (10 pre-loaded tickets).
- Customized Paris-Provence Explorer Guidebook (PDF) for your solo time in Paris and Aix-en-Provence.
- A 100-page lined notebook (with writing prompts included!) with pen.
- Digital Photo Suite from Lauren Gibson: Writer’s Headshots and Candid Photographs from your week in France. This will be delivered to you digitally within 30 days of the trip end date.
NOT INCLUDED IN LE SALON WRITER’S RETREAT:
- Airfare
- Local transportation beyond the items specifically mentioned above (e.g. airport transit via taxi or metro is not included).
- Meals or any other food and drink beyond the items specifically mentioned above.
- Travel insurance (strongly recommended)
- Guide tips
- Any additional travel experiences (tickets to other museums or landmarks, souvenirs, etc)
- Incidental and personal expenses
*Hotel accommodations are only included in the Full Writer’s Retreat Pricing option. The Experience-Only pricing does not include accommodations. Travelers who choose the Experience-Only pricing are fully responsible for booking and managing their own accommodations for the duration of the retreat.
